Mike brings over a decade of experience in designing and implementing food fortification programs tailored to low- and middle-income settings. Since May 2026, he has served as Country Lead for FWGA Uganda, overseeing program execution, stakeholder engagement, and cross-workstream integration to deliver measurable national impact. His career spans roles with the Ugandan Ministry of Health, UNCST, USAID, GAIN, CPHL and Makerere University. He advises Uganda’s National Working Group on Food Fortification and the Micronutrient Technical Working Group, and contributes to pioneering efforts to integrate micronutrient biomarker surveillance into public health systems. Mike holds an MSc in Public Health and a BSc in Human Nutrition & Dietetics.
