Salome brings over a decade of experience leading development and humanitarian programmes across the United Nations, NGOs and the private sector, with deep expertise in food security, nutrition, programme management and partnership development. Most recently at the World Food Programme in Ethiopia, she played a pioneering role in introducing and scaling cash-based transfer initiatives and improving access to nutritious food for vulnerable households. Her experience in programme management and stakeholder engagement will be a significant asset as FWGA continues to grow its work across multiple regions. Since May 2026, she has served as Country Lead for FWGA Ethiopia, overseeing program execution, stakeholder engagement, and cross-workstream integration to deliver measurable national impact.
