FWGA Real time shelf-life study Final Report
The Fortified Whole Grain Alliance (FWGA) has a vision of converting at least 50% of grain foods in institutional markets and 25% in consumer markets from refined to fortified whole form in LMICs by 2032 To achieve this vision, FWG maize meal needs to be stored for longer periods which is a current challenge because whole grain (WG) maize meal has a much higher content of fat compared to its refined-grain equivalents.
